I have been sharpening for over 30 years now and learned this craft from my grandfather and father. I have had the opportunities to study European, Asian, and American ways of sharpening over the years with master craftsman and with this knowledge can sharpen a variety of tools and understand how they were designed to work. I also was raised on a farm and have groomed/sheared a variety of animals and have a broad range of experience of how clippers should work on various animals or people. These skills have become very valuable over the years as tools have changed and newer ways have to be developed to sharpen them as good or better than factory. I don't makes claims as being the only sharpener that can do you tools or other far fetched claims. My work and personal service are my selling points and I don't believe in putting down others, lying to get ahead, or claiming to be something I am not to get your business. I still do business the way my grandfather did with honesty and integrity. .
I used to sharpen anything that had an edge but now have concentrated on sharpening the following items: Scissors/shears and clipper blades (Barber, Stylist, Groomer), most lawn and garden tools ( chain saws, axes, shovels, hedge clippers, etc) and Knives, and Clipper Repair. I also do training for customers on care of their equipment and if you have a large shop or school that you would like me to do a class at please see the contact section for my number and address..
If you are missing that old time friendly customer service and someone that really cares about your equipment as if it were their own, then contact me. All sharpening is done by me personally so if there is a problem the buck stops with me. I stand behind my work and if there is a problem I will do everything within reason to correct it for you.
I am constantly updating my sharpening skills as new technology comes out so I can always be "on the cutting edge" of the new technology. Products are changing so rapidly now that it is hard to keep up with everything, but by going to conventions and staying in contact with manufacturers it makes this task easier.
If you have any questions please contact me by email or phone at the contact info section.
Other than my father and grandfather, I have never worked for or had anyone work for me. I did do some educational videos with another sharpener under The Blade Guyz® name I own, but we were never business partners in sharpening. If anyone ever claims to have worked for or are partners with me in Love's Sharpening® or The Blade Guyz® they are not telling the truth. I have had calls and emails of others trying to use this approach to get your business. One business is even telling his customers I am his brother and handing a card to them as proof. Now this business is going around and telling people that I am dying and won't be around soon so they should use them. I can tell you that I am perfectly fine and will be around for many years to come. In my opinion this kind of behavior from a competior shows lack of respect for you the customer and raises a red flag of what kind of business practices and integrity this person has. In this tough economy this has become more common practice with other business as well. If you deal with one person or company all the time and then a new person shows up, stop and make a phone call to make sure you are dealing with the right person or business.
The bottom line is if you don't not see me standing in front of at the time of service, then you are not talking with Love's Sharpening®or The Blade Guyz.® If you been a victim of this scam please contact me. Tim Love

TIPS ON SHIPPING YOUR PACKAGE
|
The mail-in service requires that you pack your equipment with care to reduce breakage. Your contact information must be inside the box and a inventory sheet incase we find damage during our initial inventory as we open your box. If using a blade box, please tape the box closed even if putting inside another box. The blade boxes do come open and your blades will come out and could be damaged. There is a form you can print off that has all the info needed for shipping your items located at the bottom of this page. Please put an email address on the form so that we can contact you to let you know when your package is shipping and for any other correspondence.
If you do not have a blade box, then wrap each blade in paper towels or newspaper to protect them from banging into each other during shipment. For scissors first put a rubber band around the tips to keep them shut during shipping to keep them from getting nicked up.
For clippers wrapped them in newspaper or bubble wrap when shipping.
Once you have everything wrapped up, put the items in the box with extra packing so they don't rattle around. Use a box instead of an envelope for added protection. Envelopes do rip easily and your items can end up being lost or damaged. Priority shipping boxes are free at the Post office or online at www.USPS.com. Using the USPS site allows you to also do postage and insurance, plus other services , which saves time because you can either hand it to your local postal carrier or drop it off at the post office.
Just remember to check for any rattling in the box. If the box rattles the Post office may refuse it, especially if you have it insured.
If the box weighs over 5 pounds you might want to use a Flat rate box to save on postage. You can ship up to 70 pounds for $10.70 for the small box and $13.95 for the large box.
